Madlibs with Shelton

Shelton’s PERFECT DAY

My alarm clock goes off at 5:40am and I slowly jump out of bed. The first thing I need to do is
OrangeTheory Fitness followed by a large cup of McDonalds iced coffee.

Once I am awake, I get to work on planning Taylor Swift and Jason Segel wedding in Seaside, Florida.

This wedding is going to be unique! The bride is wearing her mother’s dress, carrying a beautiful bouquet of paper whites and will walk down the aisle to She’s In Love With The Boy by Trisha Yearwood.

At the reception, they will serve shortrib and strawberry cake. Their signature drink will be a margarita.

This is going to be a fairy tale wedding, just like in Father of the Bride! After finishing some final details on the wedding, I am off to lunch with my grandmother, Moppy at Onion Creek. I spend the rest of my afternoon either reading a baby book, browsing @thingsiboughtandliked instagram account, shopping online at Tuckernuck or binge watching Stranger Things.

Tonight, I am putting on my red Tecova boots, grabbing my diaper bag and headed to the Los Tios with Bob and Woods.

And when the day is over, I am so fulfilled because this was the most perfect day.

Hi! I’m Shelton, an easygoing perfectionist who cannot WAIT to meet you!

My fervor for festivities springs from a lifelong passion for people. From a young age I have always strived to make others feel welcome, included, and celebrated. When high school graduation rolled around, the decision to pursue a degree in Hospitality Management was a no-brainer for this hostess of the family and friend-group! Four years (and a Belle internship!) later, I graduated from Ole Miss and began a career in the events industry. Prior to joining the Belles full-time, I worked as a planner for a full-service catering and events company here in Houston. This opportunity allowed me to experience events from the catering and design perspective, building rapport with various vendors and learning the ins and outs of venues all across town. I look forward to sharing my expertise, creativity, and people-centric personality with you!

When not planning the next, unique Belle extravaganza, I enjoy a good patio margarita with my fiance, Bob, and our adopted pups, Dixie and Harley. I love arts and crafts, and still host personal parties for every occasion (hello, Galentine’s Day and Ghoul’s Night Out!). I believe there is always something worth celebrating!

In fact, when I reflect on happy or special moments from the past 30 years, most milestone memories are marked by a celebration, big or small. While I can’t recall every detail of each event, I can remember the way I felt. This is my ultimate goal for my clients: to seamlessly translate your vision and wishes into a thoughtfully-curated series of moments that will ultimately become favorite memories for years to come!
